Our second rally of the season took place on Saturday 4th, with members enjoying a cruise from York to Nether Poppleton in what can best be described as “breezy” conditions.

 Boats entered into the spirit of the day by decorating their vessels, adding plenty of colour and personality to the flotilla as we made our way through York.

To keep crews entertained along the way, participants also took part in a river-themed quiz, with answers to landmarks and points of interest being spotted as we cruised upstream. It proved to be a great addition to the day, encouraging plenty of friendly competition between crews.

Following our arrival at Nether Poppleton, members returned to the clubhouse, where, later in the evening, they were treated to an excellent meal prepared by our catering team with music from our very own in-house band. It was the perfect way to round off another successful rally.

A big thank you goes to everyone who took part and helped make the event another success. We’re already looking forward to Rally No. 3!
