York Rescue Boat have asked if they can hold a volunteer day at the club on Saturday 6th July from 10am till 15.00hrs.
The event is open to all our members and members of the public who may have an interest in volunteering. They expect between 30 and 50 visitors throughout the day.
We have given them permission to site a small gazebo, two vehicles and a boat trailer. They may also have a rescue boat on the water.
They have agreed to have a member of their staff controlling the main entrance gate throughout the day to monitor and assist visitors on arrival.
York Rescue Boat are a team of volunteers who give their time for all those who use and enjoy the river.
YMYC are pleased to offer our support in hosting their volunteer recruitment day and I feel sure our all members will offer them a very warm welcome.
